This story tells how the boys met Eric

Part 1

Characters in Arabian Nights in order of appearance:

Season 1

Viggo Mortensen:
Viggo is our sort of main character. The story starts with him, and as it progresses with him as the master of his Harem he's fairly hard to ignore. He is a Danish prince, even though he's pretty much cut himself off from his family because his father was forcing him to marry. He was a hunter and tracker of some standing, a warrior though his people weren't well known for war. He is artistic to a point (I thought this would be a good thing to keep, as it's such a part of Viggo anyway) and, ummmm, the rest I'm sure we can work out.

Karl Urban:
The head of Hugo's guard, Karl is loyal, strong and trustworthy. He has a habit of finding things in the desert that are of importance to Hugo, and Viggo is one of them. He is attracted to Viggo and finds that he enjoys his company. Though he and Sean are fierce rivals, they are on fairly friendly terms and are *hot* together. Karl and Orli have an almost older/younger brother relationship and enjoy baiting each other.

Hugo Weaving:
The Caliph of Aqaba, Hugo is a just man. He has two young children of his own, but fears for their safety as the province of Aqaba is a land that many wish too conquer. Viggo interests him, with his scholar mind and warrior ways. Unsure if this is a purely platonic or romantic.

Sean Bean:
Sean is the head of Viggo's father's guard. He is also devoted almost entirely to Viggo and follows him into the desert (there's a plot bunny if I ever heard one). Poor Sean, dehydrated and hopelessly lost was not lucky enough to be picked up by Hugo's captain of the Guard, but Slave traders and has to be bought later by Viggo to save him. Sean and Karl are actually good friends for the seemingly fierce rival exterior. Sean is very protective of Elijah and Dom because of their seemingly young age and antics.

Orlando:
Our, dear sweet Street Rat Orli. Orlando's parents died at a young age and he barely remembers them. Though his Grandmother raised him, he was left much to his own devices as his grandmother keeps a medicine stall in the market place and does not have time to watch over him always. His best friend is Dom and he are petty thieves though they are reasonably good friends with the guards of Aqaba as they rarely go above pick-pocketing and are good enough not to get caught. In a slip up Orli gets caught stealing some food and almost looses his hand to his folly. Viggo saves him, but at the price that the stall owner will only spare his life should Orli be Viggo's slave.

Elijah Wood:
Youngest son to a fellow ruler, Elijah is given to Hugo as a slave. Elijah is given as a reluctant gift to Viggo for 'safe' keeping as Hugo trusts Viggo as a nicer master then most. Orli and Elijah are reluctant slaves of Viggo and both go to training under Sir Ian. It takes some doing but eventually they fall for Viggo, and Viggo for them.

Liv Tyler:
Miss Tyler runs the household with pretty much an iron fist. She strong, no nonsense woman who's quick to get things done. She's also pretty much the gossip center of the Caliph's household. Anything that you need to know, you go through her, Liv is usually more reliable then the best spy. Though she's a strong woman (to run this household you have to be) she nice and friendly, Viggo and most of the members of the Harem get along well with her, with the possible exception of Dom, they fight like cats and dogs, but deep down this makes it more of a brother/sister relationship.

Ian McKellen:
In his youth Ian was one of Hugo's father's greatest Warriors. Age has finally caught up with him and though he still feels 'young at heart' being a warrior is a little too much for even him. Now Ian acts as Slave trainer. Most of the slaves we see him train will be for Viggo's Harem, but he also sees to house slaves and some of the warriors. He's nice and sweet, defiantly funny, but he is a trainer of slaves, so don't piss him off.

Dominic Monaghan:
Dominic is the Prince of another nation, though the family hierarchy is a little out of whack and there has always been a chance that Dom would die. As a precaution Dom was sent to grow up as a street rat and trained at an early age as an assassin. He and Orlando are best friends, which is a good thing in the end, as it'll make joining the Harem a lot easier.

Jared Leto
Jared used to be a street rat and pickpocket just like Orlando but he was snatched off the street by slavers and put to work at a local brothel some years ago. Despite the harsh work he has managed to keep a gentle soul. He gets bought by Viggo to teach the kittens how to sexually please.

Johnny Depp
Captain of his own ship and owner of a rather dishonorable reputation, merchant, smuggler, pirate

Billy Boyd
He is a druid apprentice from the far away lands of Scotland, he is given to Viggo as a gift to gain his favor by Captain Johnny Depp, a pirate. He is drugged to prevent him from using any magic.

Arnold Vosloo
Karl's father, a slave trader

David
A lion cub... yeah... you believe us... right...

Christopher Walken
Lord of Master Voosloo, a not so nice person

Craig
less than willing servant of Lord Walken
